現地NGO(サンプルナ)への支援

 インド南部のベンガルールという地域では、壷阪寺の支援活動を行う現地NGOがあります。それが、サンプルナ(SAMPURNA)です。

 サンプルナでは主に2つの事業を行っています。

 1、奨学金事業

 2、現地NGO支援


1の奨学金事業は、両親の仕事の関係等で高等学校への進学が難しい子どもに対して、支援を行っています。

2の現地NGOは以下の2つのNGOに対して支援活動を行っています。

Marugadarshi(マルガダルシ)


Margadarshiは身体に障がいがある人などを支援しているNGOです。私たちはその中でも、障がいを持っている女性たちが暮らす施設の支援をしています。

 この施設には3階建ての建物に、10人ほどの女性が共同生活をしています。

年齢は10代から年配の方までいます。調理や掃除以外はほとんど自分で生活されています。若い数人はここで生活しながら学校に通っています。

 村では進学することも難しいですが、ここであれば支援を受けながら学校に行くことができます。「将来は銀行員になりたい」など、夢を持って暮らしています。

Sparsha(スパルシャ)


Sparshaは2013年度より支援を開始したNGOです。

家庭の事情で家で暮らすことが困難な子供たちが集団生活をする児童養護施設を運営しています。

 その中でも当財団では、主に15歳までの女子が共同生活する施設を支援しています。
 みんなそれぞれ夢を持ちながら、学校に通っています。
 また、施設で絵画やダンスの教室も開いています。

Sparsh(2017) English report

 

PARSHA TRUST 2017

 

SAMPURNA is providing Provisions and Sanitary items to the Trust. It is a street children’s home. There are 250 inmates who are picked up from the streets and sent to school. The Homes are located in different parts of Bangalore. Some of the students who did very well in the 10th and 12 th std. exams are described below.

 

Sparsha Children have scored good marks in the year 2016 – 17 and passed 2nd PUC (12th Std.)and SSLC (10th Std.)Exam.  Names of the children and their % are as follows:

Shashikumar

 

Shashikumar belongs to a very poor and broken family where his father abandoned the family and mother is a domestic servant. He reside at Sarjapur road, Kaikondrahalli. His mother wanted his son to continue his education but as she could not able to afford to send him to school so she planned to discontinue his educaiton but one of her owner (where she was working) had found the Sparsha Trust in web site and recommended her to send to Sparsha. She admitted him to Shivajinagar center. He was studying 6 hours a day and he wanted to become an journalist.

 

 

 

 

 

Kanaka

 

Kanaka was residing in a slum near Rajajinagar. She had lost her mother in her very small age and father was a alcoholic and patient. Her aunty was a guardian to her but feeding to kanaka family was difficult to her so kanaka took responsibility to feed her father, sister and brother. Kanaka was a child labourer working as a domestic labour at Rajajinagar. During child labour identification survey we found her and brought her  and her two siblings to the shelter. Her aunty took the responsibility to take care of her father.  Kanaka was a very clever girl and very interest in study as well as other activity. she is a good dancer, speaker, etc., She was studying 6 hours every day . she aim to become a scientist.

 

 

 

Naveen

 

Naveen was a child labour, he was selling an Ice cream near the residence area of Hebbal. during our rescue process we identified and brought him. He is a single parented child. Naveen lost his father went he was in 4th std. Due to very poor condition of the family he discontinued his school and started working. everyday he was studying for 4 hours. he is aiming to become a police officer

 

 

 

Manjunath

 

He was a school dropout at 3rd standard and working in the Garage near Kodigehalli. he lost his father in a very young age her mother could not able to manage to send him to the school for longer time. during Sparsha child labour identification survey we could find him. He came to Sparsha Trust at the age of 10 and we enrolled him again to 3rd standard. he is having a very good leadership quality, good in dram dance, good speaker, etc., he was studying for 8 hours every day. he is aiming to take up commerce and wanted to become a Bank manager.

 

 

 

Narasamma

 

She was a child labour, Narasamma and her younger sister were begging to feed themselves as they had lost her parents in a very young age. 3 siblings were sleeping at the temple. We could identify them and brought them to the center. Sparsha gave a nonformal education and enrolled her to 5th standard from their her journey begun and now she has passed in sslc and dream to become Nurse. she was studying for 4 hours every day.

 

 

 

 

 

Basavaraj

 

Belongs to a big family at Raichur. due to drought and very small piece of land. they had a finance problem so his parents migrated to bangalore and doing an construction work. he was in the village but unfortunately his aunty was very rude did not encouraged him for the school. she was forcing him to do the work in the field. with a urge to study he came to his parents but his parents condition was very bad and not in a position to send to the school (they did not had regular work to feed enough money). so he also joined with them when every they had work (his parents wanted to send him to the school). Sparsha Trust is  running a shelter at Mastripaly and his parents came to us and approched us. we found Basavaraj interest in study and admitted him. Now he a role model in regards of taking responsibility of helping younger children in the shelter, very good dancer, etc., he was studying for 6 hours every day. he want to become a sports man (Runner)
